Smartrawl, net zero fishing vessels, digitalisation and ‘thinking the unthinkable’ were hot topics at Fishmongers’ Hall this week (28 Nov), where we brought our new Stakeholder Committee and Board of Trustees together to discuss game-changing innovation to support the UK seafood industry.
Meeting for the first time under the our new UK-wide remit, alongside existing projects, members discussed feedback from industry experts on how FIS can facilitate and leverage investment for innovation that addresses practically the challenges facing seafood businesses and communities across the UK.
Following the meeting, FIS’s growing community of seafood and innovation experts came together for an evening reception and thought-provoking panel discussion on how to unlock opportunities for a prosperous, sustainable UK seafood industry into the future.
