Last year, FIS asked Scottish tech experts Space Intelligence to explore how satellites could support the Scottish seafood sector (check out full details about the project here). As satellite technology is continually improving, Space Intelligence have reviewed new research and innovations from the last year, and published an additional report which could help our industry now, and in the future.
The report focuses on new technologies that could aid the digitalisation of the Scottish fishing industry in terms of supply chain verification and traceability, as well as improved methods for detecting illegal fishing, and opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and fuel use.
